The wines you must taste...
Pinot blanc 2010, kabinet, Velké Žernoseky-Malá Vendule, litoměřice sub., Žernosecké vinařství
( May 2012 )
A bright golden colour with good sparkle and greenish reflexes. An elegant, balanced smell exposes fresh fruitiness of yelow fruit (sweet apple, pear, pineaple) and decent notes of herbal and bread. The taste is very fresh or almost pungent, bursted with citrus and herbal and it remains quite long time on the palate. The potential for maturing in the bottle is evident. So is the personality of this wine.

Grüner Veltliner 2010, Hasel, Kamptal DAC, Austria, Birgit Eichinger
( April 2012 )
A bright greenish colour, a good sparkle. By the first smell, look for the minerality, honey and spicy notes. Later yelow fruit (apple, peach) and traces of ginger and rum will appear as well. In the taste, the minerality is so noticeable, that the first sip is almost surprising-very salty! The quite "shy" fruitiness requires little time to come out, but even later, it is generally somehow neutral or citrus-like. The wine is well balanced, fresh and quite long on the palate. The Grüner Veltliner grape, that is traditionally a bit simple and rustical, shows a class here!

Pouilly-Fumé AOC 2010, Hubert Brochard
( March 2012 )
A shiny bright-greenish colour with perfect sparkle. A fresh and typical smell of gooseberry, blackcurrant, citrus and silex, very elegant and balanced. The taste is fresh, pungent, bursted with citrus notes. A firm structure, very good lenght on the palate. This wine has potential to mature well in next few years.

Chardonnay 2008, výber z hrozna, Svodín, Strekov vinegrowing area, Slovakia, Janoušek
( February 2012 )
A shiny lemon colour with green shades, a great sparkle and viscosity. Look for the stewed fruit (pear, kiwi, pineapple) that dominates the rich, elegant and well ripened smell, while hint of honey and wood (not like an oak) will delight your nose with light spiciness. The taste is cream-like rounded, full of tropical fruit, honey and fresh acids. Higher alcohol (14% vol.) content surprisingly doesn´t endanger the overal ballance, even when the temperature of the wine goes up. At the very end of the taste, you can feel kind of "woody" bitterness, that is the only negative element in this delicious wine.

Samos AOC 2010, Greece, Union of Winemaking Cooperatives of Samos
( January 2012 )
A very beautiful pale-copper colour with good sparkle, an oily structure. A rich smell of wide palette of overripened yelow fruit, in which the pear and apricot is the most dominant. Complemented by traces of wax, varnish, herbals, white blossoms and raisins. Even in the taste you can recognize strong notes of apricot and pear jam, the finish is tinged by honey. However the wine would gain from extra few grams of acids, even the light bitterness coming from the very high content of alcohol (15%!) balances the concentrated sweetness of this nectare. The taste remains on your palate for long time. However it is pitty to realize the fact, that the Muscats from Samos, famous worldwide once, don´t say much to the recent consumer, the lower who is looking for such forgotten treasures of the wine world can be very happy, that they are available for almost ridiculous prices.
